"I have always wanted a corset and I thought that the when I got married would be the perfect reason to wear one.The only problem was I didn't want to get married in white and I really didn't want to have to go into a scary wedding dress shop. I found Gill Wesley by word of mouth from a very good friend.I went to meet Gill and felt immediately at ease, she understood my brief straight away and wasn't freaked out by my idea of getting married in purple.Several visits later, generally involving a glass of wine or cup of coffee and a lot of laughter I had a beautiful corset to wear for my wedding. I would highly recommend Gill to anyone, she is very down to earth and puts you at ease straight away, which makes the whole process of having a corset made a real pleasure. My husband liked the corset so much I'm now thinking of having another one made!"

"I first met Gillian after a plea email i'd sent her.
I purchased the wedding dress of my dreams while 6 months pregnant (not a great idea) thinking i had enough time to have my baby and lose the weight before my wedding. Unfortunately this never happened and i hasten to add my beautiful dress didn't fit.
I visited Gillian's studio to try on an underwear corset to see if there was any glimmer my dress might fit me, the corset felt amazing from the moment i got it on. It made my posture much better and i felt fantastic. so much so that while i was there i had an urge it try one of Gillian's sample corsets on over the top of my dress.
And that was it, from the moment Gillian laced it up i had changed my mind and commissioned Gillian to make a corset to match my dress to wear over my dress.
I can't even explain how i felt on my wedding day and how precious my corset is to me. I would recommend a corset made by Gillian to anyone, even if its the only thing you ever have made for you.
My experience was amazing and i consider Gillian to be not only a great designer but a friend too."

I first set eyes on a bespoke corset at a charity Garden Party, it was the pink one that Gill designed for the Breast cancer appeal. I fell in love with it, even though I hate pink! I then visited Gills studio where she showed me more of her fantastic designs I tried some on and thought, I just have to have one. I decided I liked the idea of wearing a corset out to dinner, or to a party or with jeans, so, with Gills help I chose some fabric and she made me this fantastic corset! I feel really special when I wear it and highly recommend others to try the experience, one you will never forget. A must have for every ladies wardrobe. Thank you Gill, you have a real talent. I am now in a queue for your designer jeans!

Revitalised.....Sophisticated.......Womanly!

If someone were to tell me the first corset I'd try on would be at 54, and it would make me feel more alive and charismatic than I did at 21, I would never have believed them.

Gill makes you feel very special whilst designing the corset and after trying one or two of her samples I decided to have a corset that could be used over a dress and also on its own with a skirt. I got to wear the corset at Ladies Day at Ascot. The reaction of the guests attending the day was quite amazing.....I have never had so many compliments about any of my previous outfits as I did that day.
I could recommend Gill’s designs to any lady that wants to put some glamour in their wardrobe.....I can’t wait to have my next corset designed"

I had my first corset made by Gill before Christmas just in time for the social whirl, and let me tell you, I LOVED it!!! It feels amazing and I never tire of the fabulous compliments I get every time I wear it.
So I have recently decided to commission a second corset.I wanted something equally fabulous but sufficiently different, and one which I could wear absolutely anywhere.
After a browse through Gillian's extensive fabric catalogues, I decided on a denim corset.Wow! I was not disappointed! This new corset is DEFINITELY coming on holiday with me!
I am now planning my third corset! This one will be for Ladies Day at Ascot.As you can imagine, the planning and construction is just as much fun as taking ownership of the final materpiece...all thanks to Gill!
Watch this space for my next corset fix!

"Having reached the depressing age of 47, and having just split up from the love of my life, I came to a decision to boost my low self esteem and self confidence by having a bespoke corset made.
I had actually been searching for a corset for over a year when I stumbled accross Gillian's web site.My search had become quite a chore as most shops seemed to be selling corsets which I felt were slightly on the "tarty" side, and I was looking for something more classy and sophisticated.
I made an appointment for coffee and a look through Gillian's portfolio, but I was so impressed after trying a sample corset on, I decided to get measured up there and then!
Gill's dedication and personal touch for her profession is a credit to her. I have much gratitude towards Gill for making a 47 year old woman feel sexy again! I absolutely adore my corset and can't wait to start wearing it out to its first function (and then out with a pair of jeans!)
I plan to keep in touch with Gill and look forward to meeting up with the other "Wesley Girls"socially!"

"I had heard about Gillian and her amazing corsets quite by chance, and instantly fell in love with the idea of owning one for myself. The only problem was, as I am not a size 10, I thought I might be, shall we say…..too “buxom” to wear one!!! When I finally got to meet Gillian, she assured me that I would look fabulous in a corset, and invited me to her studio to try one on.
The first time I saw my reflection in the mirror wearing a sample corset, I was just amazed. Gillian had told me that a corset would enhance my curves not detract from them, and she was right! I felt surprisingly comfortable and incredibly confident as I gazed at my reflection in amazement.
Within a few weeks, my perfect made to measure corset was ready for the world to see. I was totally unprepared for the reaction from both men and women from the moment I stepped out of my door. Without doubt, this is the most beautiful, exquisite item that has ever graced my wardrobe and I wear it at every opportunity.
Gillian is currently working on my second corset and I am now totally addicted to the way they make me feel."

“After trying on MANY wedding dresses in MANY wedding dress shops, nothing was what I had in mind. I decided I would look into having one made and stumbled across Gillian’s website. We met up and once I had tried on corset on I knew this was how I wanted to look and feel on my wedding day. I loved having control over how every detail of the corset would look and it wasn’t long before I started designing beyond the corset and Gillian made me gold halter neck top to go underneath the corset and a trail to add some more extravagance to the outfit. Our meetings were always a treat as I felt spoilt for choice. Gillian was extremely friendly and made sure I was always happy. She also has a great creative eye that helped when I was being indecisive! On the wedding day, it wasn’t until I had put the corset on, that I felt truly ready for the exciting day ahead.
