As the national controversy over size 0 models rages on, two Warwickshire women have been selected by a local fashion designer and Photographic Studio to represent “Real Women” at the largest UK Photographic show at the NEC.
Fleur Neal ,Sophie Taylor and Andrew Sheppard of Avon Studios with Gillian Wesley
College lecturer, Fleur Neal and dance student, April Twigger, were selected for their very different, but equally healthy, body images.
Fashion designer Gillian Wesley explains “As both a fashion designer and the mother of a teenage daughter, it is of the utmost importance to me, both personally and professionally, to show just how good real women can look, irrespective of their natural frame or size. Both Fleur and April are ideal role models for aspiring young women, and their presence at the NEC did not go un-noticed!!!”
Andrew Sheppard of Avon Studios who has photographed the likes of Jodie Kidd and Premiership footballers pointed out” Even though we are fortunate to work with many celebrities and high profile personalities, In many of our portrait shoots we photograph real people who want to look their best, the photo-shoot at the NEC proves that you don’t have to be size 0 to look amazing.”
